JP Walker signs with 32 and Etnies

There’s been much speculation since JP Walker hung up his iced out F, who would he ride for, what would he do, or would he just surf off into the sunset. Those with doubts don’t know JP or his drive and determination to continually take his snowboarding to the next level. Moving into the 2008 winter season JP will be representing etnies shoes and apparel, ThirtyTwo boots, first layer, and you never know who might be coming out with outerwear. JP’s s interests are focused solely on progression in not only his snowboarding, but also in the way he and his sport are being portrayed to the public. The etnies and ThirtyTwo family embody all that JP is, progression, technology, and skate influence. Infamous signs Meghann O'Brien

Infamous Management is excited to announce the addition of Meghann O’Brien to the crew. Meghann grew up in Alert Bay, a small town on Vancouver Island. Meghann first strapped on a snowboard with her whole family: mom, dad, and sister Spencer at Mount Washington. It didn’t take long for both Meghann and Spencer to excel at snowboarding, as they both began to compete in local events traveling around BC. Always the adventurous type Meghann took a year off to ride in Switzerland and get away from the scene coming back refreshed and ready to kill it. Meghann gained attention this past season while filming for the fall release of Float Films traveling around BC, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, and California. And was also part of an editorial trip for SBC’s Women’s Annual . Plus, Meghann proved herself through solid riding at both Transworld’s Team Challenge and Snowboarder’s Miss Superpark. “I had heard of Meghann’s talent from Infamous’ Spencer O’Brien and decided to help her out last season as a favor to Spencer, but was immediately blown away by her talent, passion for snowboarding, creativity and intelligence. I’m happy to be bringing her on full time with Infamous. It’s refreshing to work with an athlete that truly cares about snowboarding and making a positive impact on this industry. Stian Update

After recovering from his bout of Mono this summer Stian came over to California to get some business done. First off was a stop in LA for a taping of The Daily Habit, then to Lake Forest for the 32/Etnies catalogue and ad shoot, then down to Snowboarder for a quick interview! Check in out at Snowboarder All this in under two weeks and he still managed to give some love to one of Europes top magazines, Method Mag with an online interview , Go to Method Mag

Rider Updates

Been awhile since there's been any updates but that doesn't mean the crew hasn't been busy!

Spencer's been a busy girl lately. Beginning of September she headed out to Australia with the Burton Women's team for a team photo shoot and PR trip.

Spencer headed straight out to Southern California after her OZ trip for the Premier of Runway films premier release, La La Land. The girls were treated to a pretty bawler premier on a yaght in the San Diego habor. Both Elena and Spencer had sick shots in the video so pick up a copy and check it out!

Burton treats Elena and Spencer to backstage passes to Gwen!

As if the life of a snowboarder isn't glamourous enough traveling the world snowboarding, going to industry parties, exotic summer vacations but backstage to Gwen Stefani, that's awesome! Rene Hanson from Burton hooked the girls team up with tickets to the recent Gwen show in Vancouver, BC. Team Manager Susie Floros, riders Elena Hight, Natasza Zurek, Spencer O'Brien and her friend Ellen all attended the concert. Check the photos, looks like it was a good show!

Lacey Baker MASA Pro Results

Lacey just returned from Fayetteville, NC where she competed in street at the MASA Pro. All the girls were present for the event even Jamie Reyes. Lacey skated well and placed 2nd behind Marisa Dal Santos. Good job Lacey! Click here to check out the contest's offical site.

Lacey films for Elements new full length video!

Elena Hight wins the pipe at the Vans Cup!

Elena hadn't planned on doing the Vans Cup since she'd tweaked her knee at the Nippon Open but the morning of the finals she headed to Northstar and was feeling pretty good so she thought she'd give it a go and she won!!!! Winter X-Games 2007

It was an exciting week for Infamous at the Winter X-Games. Both Elena and Mercedes qualified for the pipe finals with Mercedes placing 6th an improvement from last years 7th and Elena Hight earning her highest result at X-Games placing 5th and stomping the first backside 900 for a girl in X-Games competition. Yeah Elena! It was Spencer O'Brien's first X-Games experience and she rode solid and made it into the finals where the judges scored her low but she still placed 8th! Yeah Girls! Power outage, frozen chairs, 80km an hour winds, nothing could stop the fun and progression that went down at Grouse this weekend during the MGT clinic/contest. Infamous' Spencer O'Brien was up there to brighten things up as usual, 13 year old Brooke Voigt from Fort McMurray came and spent the weekend at my house and definitely represented all weekend and Meghann O'Brien proved that her skills don't just rest on jumps as she stepped it up in the jib and ollie contest. Yeah girls! Brooke getting serious with her frontsides Meghann trying to warm up from the storm! Julia from TWS, Spencer, Brooke, Bev, Raewyn, Kaylee , and Sara Meghann going for it in the high ollie finals Girls to look out for 1st Raewyn Reid and 2nd Bev V who used to be one of my campers at COC, ya Bev!!!

Two 2nd place finishes at the Breckenridge Grand Prix for Elena Hight!

This weekend the Grand Prix series started off in Breckenridge, Co. The mood was much different then last year as there wasn't as much at stake and I think it was hard for the competitors to get into the spirit. Sitting at the top of the pipe Elena wasn't feeling much in the competition spirit but she still threw down her smooth frontside 900 and placed 2nd in the Women's Pipe. After an impressive finish in the halfpipe and an autograph signing Elena competed in the evening Quaterpipe event placing 2nd with a huge method and Backside 720!
