Cheers World Premier
The Cheers World Premier (created by People Creative) went down the night before last at Oakley Headquarters to a packed house. Congratulations to IMI team rider, Joe Sexton for scoring the ender! After showing what he was made of in Child Support a few years back, Sexton has come a long way in a short time. It's not easy to get the ender, and it's all the more impressive when up against talented, long time pros like JP Walker, Seth Huot and Jeremy Jones. How'd he do it? With bangers such as a triple kink nosepress and a switch nosepress to 180 out on a double kink. JP showed why he's the Don with another progressive video part. He mainly filmed in Minnesota, Newfoundland, Finland and Minnesota and with limited snow in Whistler he still dusted off the double for the only one in the entire video. Seth and Simon also had solid parts put together with great music and great editing. If you haven't already, make sure to check out Cheers when it hits local shops. Simon Says at COC, Camp A
Every year, for more years than we can count now, Simon has been putting on his signature contest "Simon Says" at Camp of Champions. This year the weather was a little rough on the day Simon was going to drop the contest on Camp A, so he switched things up a bit. Instead of calling out tricks and having all of the campers give them a go, he decided to go with a jam format. The campers threw down, and Simon tossed prizes. Seth Joins the Mica Team
MICA is pleased to announce the addition of Seth Huot to the Snow Program. Seth will be joining the current team of Jordan Mendenhall, Will Tuddenham, Alex Andrews, Cale Zima and Sean Black. Seth is a rider we have respected and looked up to for the past 10-years while watching and anticipating his video parts. Having the right group of riders to represent MICA has been a huge part in the growth of our brand. Seth is a great dude and we're confident that with his addition, we are well on our way to creating one of the best teams in snowboarding. We couldn't be more psyched for this opportunity of working with Seth and welcoming him to MICA. I'm just stoked on brands like this, that are coming up and grassroots... that I can mold with, rather than tagging onto something else that's already been done." -Seth Huot Seth is currently living in Salt Lake City, Utah and has spent the last season filming for the new People release, "Cheers," which will drop this fall. Besides MICA, Seth is currently riding for: Volcom, Northwave, Drake, Bear Mountain, Distortion Boarding and dbot 5. Welcome to the team Seth! -MICA movement MICA MOVEMENT |

Infamous at Ms Superpark 6
Infamous' Spencer O'Brien, Brooke Voigt and Kyle Mack were invited to get their shred on at Snowboarder's Ms Superpark 6. Wait a minute --Kyle was at Ms Superpark? Snowboarder's Pat Bridges asked Kyle to come out and set the bar high for all of the ladies. Kyle's riding was top notch and blew the minds of the ladies he was shredding with. Over the course of 3 days Kyle rode strong, got shots with Espen Lystad and filmed with Gabe L'Heureux. Kyle's brother Big D was also there charging the jumps. Spencer was nursing a sprained ankle but still managed to send it on the hip. Espen Lystad got some great shots of Spencer busting tricks during the day and then got crafty with gels for a night shoot which featured Spencer's stylish method. Check out Lystad's shots of Spencer here: Snowboarder Day 1 and here: Snowboarder Day 3 16 year old Brooke's riding also stood out at her first ever Ms Superpark. Brooke rode comfortably alongside experienced pros like Erin Comstock and Jamie Anderson on the hip, the gap wall and the gap jump. Even Bridges was impressed by Brooke's willingness to hit the gap jump since so few of the girls stepped to it. See Brooke in action here: Snowboarder Day 4 |

Stevie Bell's First Trip to Japan
Stevie Bell recently returned from a trip with the Forum crew to Japan. The crew consisted of Forum team riders: Stevie Bell, Jake Welch and Nic Sauve along with team manager Kevin Keller, 2 filmers, a photog and some Japanese homies. In total the boys spent 10 days on the northern island of Hokkaido getting shots, eating sushi and drinking Japanese beer. KAMPAI! Here is the crew looking beat but stoked at the Hokkaido airport. This was taken after 1 long haul from the States and a shorter flight from Tokyo up north. We're not sure if Stevie is jet lagged, or singing his RNB heart out. Only Stevie can make pollution masks look kind of bad ass. Getting down with Japanese night life. Stevie was so hyped on his first trip to Japan that he decided to spend a couple of extra days on his own dime in Tokyo. |

Announcing the Donz Dozen Grand Prize Winner
Infamous is pleased to announce that the gracious winner of the Donz Dozen all-expenses paid grand prize trip to the Camp of Champions is Brad Bergslien. Brad is from Minnesota where he shreds Powder Ridge and Spirit Mountain with his bros. Brad's first snowboard was an Airwalk with Mercurys, now he rides JP's pro model because he thought to himself, "Damn if I wanna learn to nose press like JP, then I best get this." Thanks to the winning serial number on his JP board, and to the generosity of Camp of Champions and Stepchild Snowboards Brad has scored a 5 Day Deluxe package to "Send It With Stepchild" week to ride with JP Walker and crew this summer at COC. Here's what Brad had to say about winning the big prize: " I can't even put into words how stoked I was. Wait, was? How about how stoked I still am! I remember making True Life my pre-shred video and watching it over and over, and now I get to spend a week shredding with JP at COC! Thinking about it now, and as I continue to think about it, I totally feel like the luckiest shredder in the world right now and cannot wait till the time for this rolls around. So BIG thanks to JP, Stepchild, and everyone else who's making this happen." Infamous would also like to thank the following sponsors for hooking up prize packs for the Donz Dozen contest, and for their continued support of JP: Nixon, Thirtytwo, Etnies, Oakley and Dakine. Brad Bergslien, JP Walker |
